Robotics: Jason Green, 4-H Leader
In this video Jason Green, 4-H leader, works with youth in the 4-H Afterschool Forestry Program, exploring experiments on water turbine-generated electricity. 4-H youth visited a local electrical station that provides power to the local community from the harnessed energy of Rocky Brook Falls. Then they built their own water turbine, using robotics equipment and engineering principles. This session is a great example of inquiry-based science education that emphasizes the pursuit of scientific questioning and process rather than simply the memorization of facts.
A fine example of 4-H Learning by Doing!
